2011-05-04, Paul Harris Fellow Presentation

Due to technical issues, there was no Spokes and Cogs reporting on the May 4 meeting.  Following is a news release about the event. 

PHF medallionThe Rotary Club of Las Cruces has honored four individuals and a group of four by naming them Paul Harris Fellows, the highest award given by the international service club.  Included in the group are members of the Honor Flight of Southern New Mexico board who arranged for World War II veterans to travel to Washington, D.C., to visit the World War II Memorial. The Honor flight board members honored were Gary Lenzo, Bill Mattiace, Jag Cheema, and Judge Robert Brack.  Individuals named Paul Harris Fellows included Valerie Pickett and Jennifer Munson while Jim Maxon and Eddie Groth were honored as Multiple Paul Harris Fellows.  Les Smith was recognized as a member of the Paul Harris Society. The recognition is given in appreciation for contributions to the humanitarian and educational programs of the Rotary Foundation.
