2010-12-15, Paul McQueary, San Juan Rotary Club

Club president, Richelle Ponder rang the bell to open the meeting. John Pickett gave the invocation. Richelle then led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Ross Ramsey led the club in singing “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire.” Then we greeted one another and learned later that Rick Jackson was the mystery greeter. We had 4 guests of Rotarians, and one visiting Rotarian.

2010-12-08, LCHS Swing Ensemble

Due to the need to return to afternoon classes at school, our normal meeting agenda was altered to accommodate the student choir from Las Cruces High School.

2010-12-01, Paul Harris Fellow Presentations

Club President Richelle Ponder rang the bell to open the meeting. John Pickett gave the invocation. Richelle then led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Ross Ramsey led the club in singing “Jingle Bells.” Because of a full program and “tight quarters,” we had a very brief greeting-one-another period. In addition to the friends and family members of our Paul Harris honorees, we had 8 guests of Rotarians. The high school student guests were introduced or recognized.

2010-11-24, Rahul Tangirila, NMSU Rotaract

President Richelle Ponder began the meeting announcing that John McDowell had been hospitalized at Memorial that morning.  After Barbara Rose Farber’s invocation invoking Thanksgiving and President Richelle led the Pledge of Allegiance, John Pickett led us in singing the traditional Thanksgiving “Hymn”, Albuquerque Turkey.  We then had the opportunity to visit with mystery greeter John Pickett, and everyone else we could. 

2010-11-17, District Governor Tim Parker

President Richelle Ponder began the meeting for Barbara Rose Farber’s invocation.  After President Richelle led the Pledge of Allegiance, Janet Green led the singing of “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow” in honor of our speaker, District Governor Tim Parker.  We then had the opportunity to visit with everyone there, especially mystery greeter Don Dresp. 

2010-11-10, John Strebler, Ambassadorial Scholar

President Richelle Ponder called the meeting to order for Barbara Rose Farber’s invocation specially mentioning Veterans Day.  After the Pledge of Allegiance, Janet Green led the singing of “America (My Country ‘Tis of Thee).”  I did not write down who was this week’s mystery greeter, but I know I paid a fine for not greeting them. 

2010-11-03, Tom Walker, District 5520 RF Chair

After applause for Anita Blackburn’s music during lunch, President Richelle Ponder called the meeting to order. After Barbara Rose Farber’s invocation, Janet Green led the singing of “God Bless America.” Paulina Salopek was this week’s mystery greeter. President Richelle reminded us that can collections from this month and next will go to the Gospel Rescue Mission.
