2017-04-05, Jay Jordan, A Visit to New Zealand

President Christopher called the meeting to order about ten minutes after noon.  Mary Ellen gave the invocation.  Pres. Christopher then led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.  Fran and Patty led us in singing “Edelweiss.”  Andy Taylor was named the mystery greeter.  Guests of Rotarians and student guests were introduced.

Our meeting began with a wonderful invocation, given with no advance notice by John Pickett.  President Christopher led the Pledge of Allegiance, and the flag was on the audience’s right at the front of the room!  (OK, I’m a nerd; you knew that.)  Earl Phillips led “Singing in the Rain.”  We waved instead of meeting and greeting as there was a very full prog

President Christopher Dulany called the meeting to order.  Jim Maxon gave the invocation and, after the Pledge of Allegiance, led us in singing "America the Beautiful."

Earl PhillipsJim Maxon’s invocation started our Wednesday meeting.  President-elect Lya Jordan led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Earl Phillips led the singing of “Let Me Call You Sweetheart.”  After the introduction of guests and visitors, we met and greeted; Andrea Dresser filled in the date of the Mesilla Valley Club’s youth talent show:  April 7.

President-Elect Lya Jordan called the meeting to order at 12:10.  Kristi Granados gave the invocation and Lya led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.  Jim Maxon chose a season appropriate song, “When the Saints Go Marching In” and we made up words to extra verses in support of the Aggies!

After an interlude of music by our guest pianist Laurie Norman, President Christopher called the meeting to order for the invocation from George Washington, intoned by Jim Maxon.  After President Christopher led the Pledge of Allegiance, Maxon continued the meeting leading “When You’re Smiling.”  Meeting and greeting ensued. 

2017-02-08, Leah Tookey, NM Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, 100th Anniversary of Elephant Butte Dam

President Christopher Dulany opened the meeting of the Rotary Club of Las Cruces with a hearty ringing of the bell at 12:13 pm followed by the invocation read by Kristi Granados.  Kristi shared a prayer of peace by Maya Angelou.  Christopher led us in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States.
