President Christopher called the meeting to order at 12 past 12.  Richelle gave the invocation.  President Christopher then led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.  In view of our student guests today and the beginning of another school year, Earl led us in singing “School Days.”  Due to today’s busy agenda, there was no “meet and greet.”  President Christopher introduced visiting Rotarians and Guests.  Mary Lee Shelton, from the Juarez Campestre Rotary Club described her Club’s project and asked for help.

President ChristopherClub president Dulany rang the bell to begin our meeting at 12:11 pm. After the Pledge of Allegiance, Jodie Brdekco gave the invocation. Our song of the day was the “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” After a lively greet & meet session, Don Dresp served as the mystery greeter. Two guests were introduced: Les Smith brought his granddaughter Amber Sweet who lives in Alaska; and Greg Fant hosted Scott Eschenbrenner from NMSU.

Lya our fearless leaderIn the absence of our current president, Lya Jordan rang the bell to begin our meeting at 12:11 p.m. John Pickett read the invocation sent by Jodie. Next, we recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Our song of the day was the “Hokie-Pokie” which was sung and danced to by the club members. After a busy greet & meet session, our guests were acknowledged: Sherry Franzoy brought Kathleen Garcia, and Steve Loman brought Elizabeth Loman.

In the absence of our current president, Alex Keatts rang the bell to begin our meeting at 12:10 pm. Richelle Ponder gave the invocation. Next, we recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Our song of the day was a variation of “Amore,” made famous by Dean Martin in the black and white television days. Our singing was superb.

In his inaugural meeting as president, Chris rang the bell to begin our meeting at 12:12 pm. John Pickett gave the invocation. Next, we recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Our song of the day was R-O-T-A-R-Y, using the Mickey Mouse Club theme song, led by the effervescent trio of Patty, Kristi, and Frank Sinatra.

President Alex called the meeting to order at 12:11 pm. John lead the prayer expressing thanks for Alex’s leadership and asking wisdom for Christopher. After the Pledge of Allegiance, Earl shared that Denton was better but would be out until after surgery. He then led the club in a rousing rendition of “Oh What A Beautiful Mornin.” After a joyous meet and greet, Ana was announced as the mystery greeter.

President Alex called the meeting to order at 12:10 pm. In the opening invocation, Jodie Brdecko reminded us to help others achieve success as we work toward our success. President Alex then led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. The dynamic trio of Blaine Goss, Jodie Brdecko, and Patti Groth led the club in singing “The Fishin’ Hole” better known as the theme from “The Andy Griffith Show.” Many members tried to whistle and sing the words at the same time! Meet and greet allowed members to reconnect with the summer travelers. The Mystery Greeter was the photographer, however photos did not count as a handshake. President Alex recognized Angel Salcido, the incoming President of Centennial High School’s Interact Club. Angel commented on how much she liked the energy here, especially compared to the other clubs she has visited. A very active student, she plays soccer and violin along with contributing many volunteer hours at school and in the community. She loves to serve, expecting nothing in return! She is attending RYLA this summer and is raising funds to attend the National Leadership Academy. She requested our help to raise travel funds to attend this event in Chicago. President Alex declared that today’s can would go to supporting her achievements.

President Alex called the meeting to order at 12:11 pm.

Jodie Brdecko used a heart touching story as the prayer reminding us God is with us through the good and bad parts of life. Sometimes we are brought closer to him through the hard times. President Alex led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Earl Phillips announced that Denton was in the hospital so Earl led the club in a very nice rendition of “God Bless America.” Meet and greet allowed members to connect with a few folks who had been gone for a while. The Mystery Greeter was Richelle Ponder.
