Taste of Las Cruces 2012 Announcement
Taste of Las Cruces is an annual event conducted by the Rotary Club of Las Cruces and the other two Las Cruces Rotary Clubs to raise funds to meet community needs. Taste of Las Cruces offers attendees a chance to sample the wares of a number of local restauranteurs in one location, while contributing to local causes.
The 2012 event will be held at the Las Cruces Convention Center on Thursday, June 7, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Beneficiary of this year's event is the El Caldito Soup Kitchen. Local restaurants have agreed to participate by donating food to be sampled by attendees, and more are being sought; this is a great way for participating restaurants to showcase their wares, and to aid the community in supporting a worthy cause. In addition, there will be a silent auction and other entertainment at the event. Las Cruces Symphony conductor Lonnie Klein will serve as the master of ceremonies.
Tickets ($40/person) are now available from members of the three Rotary Clubs and from El Caldito Soup Kitchen. All four hundred tickets to last year's event were sold, so get yours soon!
